Happy Hour Fundraiser a Success

Thank you to all those that attended or contributed to my Happy Hour Fundraiser.  The event was a success and brought us one step closer to achieving our goal of bringing a common sense leader to Annapolis.  During the event last night something struck me as I watched my daughter crawl around the event carrying a plastic cell phone in her hand.  First off I am in for a cell phone bill shock when she becomes a teenager in 12 years.  But more immediately, my daughter is a defining difference between my campaign and the current direction Liz Bobo is trying to take this county.  The future is with my daughter’s generation.  What we are trying to build in Columbia will be complete when she is the age I am currently.  This election is about our future and building the best possible future for my daughter and all of the children growing up in Howard County and across the state.  What are we leaving this generation?  Is it a mountain of debt and vacant storefronts, or is it a bright future full of opportunity and hope.  I don’t want to have a conversation in 30 years with my daughter and have to apologize for what we could have done but did not have the courage to do.  This is why I am running for State Delegate, and this is why I must work harder then I previously thought possible in order to achieve our shared goals of a future we can be proud of, not just a past we can longingly reflect upon.
